LOCAL ATTRACTIONS & SERVICES

We’ve created a new page for Attractions and will updated it as we visit them with our own guide and photos! Click HERE.

The best news is the beach is just a few minutes away and in walking distance. At certain times of year dogs are not allowed on sections of the beach though at the time of writing this doesn’t apply to the local beach, so you and your dog can enjoy it at any time of year. In other sections dogs are not allowed from 1st May to the end of September. Please check the signage if you go further afield. There is a coastal trail if you like long walks, though part of it is along the beach or promenades.

Butlins is around six minutes away by car, Fantasy Island just a bit further. Skegness town is also in easy reach by car, or a walk along the beach, and there is a frequent bus service.

Beach

Turn left out of the site and take the pedestrian crossing (Spa shop opposite) a short walk Winthorpe avenue to the front. There is a café, amusement arcade, ice cream stand (cash only!) and The View restaurant. Free parking! The promenade to the left goes towards Chapel St Leonards, to the right is Skegness town and Pier. Some sections of the coastal path or promenade require your dog to be on a lead; check local signage.
